Best time to Travel to Bali

Bali is an island located in the archipelago of Indonesia just between the islands of Java and Lombok. It is among the most visited tourist destinations in the world and features breathtaking beaches, a rich culture and top of the line accommodation. Surfers, backpackers, and vacationers frequent the island the entire year. But when is the best time to visit Bali and what is there to look forward to at those times?
Bali is an island located just below the equator and it enjoys tropical weather for most of the year. The temperature fluctuates but on average the island stays within 30-32 degrees C. The island is very humid, especially during the rainy season, and most of the time humidity is measured at around 95 percent. It also gets more humid at night, especially along the coast.
The island of Bali has two seasons, the wet season between October and March and the dry season between April and September. Although there is a distinct difference between the two seasons, the weather almost stays the same all year round. Rain showers during the wet season tend to be short and usually occur during the night and so most days in the rainy season will still sunny but much more humid.
Based on the festivals and parades, there is no specific time frame that would offer to be the best. There are over 20,000 temples and holy places in the island with each having its own festival and so there are celebrations and festivals that occur the entire year. The Balinese also base their celebrations of a lunar calendar and not on the weather and the seasons.
In terms of weather, the best time to visit Bali is between April and September. During these months, the island features sunny climate with relatively low humidity. Also, during these months, there is also limited rainfall and the evenings in the island are cool. During April to June, however, the island will be filled with tourists and travelers. During August to September, the summer crowds will be less, but there will also be more rains and higher humidity.
For those that want to experience the optimum beach life in Bali, the best times are during March to June. These months are ideal for the longer days and sunny calm beaches. The rainy season offers more things to do inland, such as white water rafting and visiting hot springs located within the island. Tours to local tourist destinations are usually available all year round.
