The Breath-taking Landscape of Bali

One of the most beautiful islands in the Asian pacific is the island of Bali. Its beautiful natural formations and structures is among the many reasons why tourists and travelers flock to the island every year. Some even go as far as calling the island of Bali a beach Paradise. Bali is one of the 17,000 island of the Indonesian archipelago and is located just between the islands of Lombok and Java.
One of the signature landscapes that have made Bali so famous with the tourists is the beautiful Bali coastline. The island of Bali features one of the world’s best beaches. These white sandy beaches are perfectly contrasted against green palm trees all over the shoreline, making it the ideal beach island for tourists. One of the most famous beaches in the island are the ones found in Jimbaran Bay, found on north coast of the island.
Away from the coast, Bali is full of lush greens and forests. This greenery is most evident in the local rice terraces and rice paddies. These are agricultural man-made formations, but they are amazing to behold and they are among the favorite sights of the tourists. One of the most beautiful rice terraces found in the island is found just north of Ubud in east Bali.
All of the mountains found in Bali are volcanoes. Some of these volcanoes are dormant but there are quite a few that are still active. Mount Agung is the biggest of the volcanoes and it is located in the eastern part of the island. Mount Batur is the most active and regularly produces rumbles and ashy smoke. Most tourists prefer to visit Mount Batur, although it would take a 2-hour hike just to get a glimpse of the smoldering volcano.
Another natural formation that is frequented by tourists is the caves of Bali. Because of the volcanic nature of the island, there are thousands of caves drawn out across the island. The most famous of these are the Goa Gajah or Elephant Cave in Tampaksiring and the Bat Cave in Goa Lawah , where there are thousands of bats hanging from the ceiling of the cave.
Some of these locations can be found just minutes away from the local business district but most of them requires quite a bit of travel. Most tourists just join the tours in the island to be able to witness the beautiful landscapes of the island of Bali.
